Jersen Construction Group has been awarded a contract for the Albany County Residential Healthcare Facility Renovation and Addition Project.
This new project encompasses both renovations to the existing facility, and new construction of 9 additions. It is a single prime project and is being performed under a PLA.
Our scope of work includes hazardous material abatement, selective building demolition and removals, earthwork, including underground utilities, new access roads, paving and site lighting.
The existing building includes 5 floors of complete renovation and will remain active during construction. A unique facet of this project is the setup and subsequent removal of a temporary cafeteria to service the residents and staff during the renovations to the existing kitchen and dining area.
The 9 additions as part of the project are all single story and will be brought from below grade to the roof and include all concrete, finishes, utilities, and mechanical systems. Mechanical, HVAC, and electrical subcontracts amount to $25,000,000 of the $69,400,000 total contract price.
All of this work will be performed within a 29-month timeframe.
