SUNY Albany ETEC Early Site Package
The SUNY Albany Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurship Complex (ETEC) Early Site project is located on the Harriman State Office Campus neighboring the SUNY Albany Campus. The early site package consisted of clearing a 12 acre site, massive site cuts/fills, contaminated soil management, installation of new storm drainage and storm chamber system, new concrete encased telecommunications duct bank along with subbase for a new parking lot. The largest component of the project was a new geothermal system which is comprised of 190 vertical wells spaced every 25 feet drilled to a depth of 499 feet with nearly 40 miles of HDPE piping. This system will serve as the primary heating and cooling system for the 245,000 SF building.
