John R. Jersen

Board Chairman

A former manager for General Electric’s Real Estate and Construction Division, Mr. Jersen traveled the globe building power plants and waste water treatment facilities. In 1975 Mr. Jersen left GE RECO to stay closer to home, and joined a Schenectady based contractor. During his nine years at the firm he rose from Project Engineer to President. When a sudden and unanticipated ownership change occurred, John decided it was time to leave and start his own firm. Knowing the dedication and commitment that was necessary for a successful company, and the importance of owner satisfaction, John Jersen, a licensed professional engineer, founded Jersen Industries in 1983.  Today he offers consulting services to Jersen Construction Group, a company owned and run by his two sons. Mr. Jersen and his companies have completed several billion dollars in contracts throughout NYS in a variety of industries, including technology, government, healthcare and education.

David J. Jersen

Member

Dave oversees the company’s strategic direction and works as a hands-on manager to provide guidance in all aspects of the construction process. With over twenty years’ experience in construction management, business development and finance, Dave has worked with the management team to successfully launch numerous high profile projects in the Capital District, including projects at GlobalFoundries, Saratoga Casino and Raceway, Saratoga Performing Arts Center and GE Silicones. His expertise in working with all aspects of a project, from conception to completion, ensures Jersen’s projects are held to the highest standards for quality and safety. Prior to joining the family business, Dave worked for TD Waterhouse and Knight Securities in Jersey City, New Jersey as a NASDAQ Securities Trader. Dave holds a B.S. from Syracuse University.

Kenneth J. Jersen

Member

Growing up in the family business, Mr. Jersen has experience in the field and understands the intricate field office connection. Working with Laborers, Carpenters, Masons and Operators proves invaluable when assessing field production in conjunction with bid assessment. With hands on experience as a Project Manager, Equipment and Operations Manager, as well as several years as company Controller, he successfully bridges the difficult field office connection.

Mr. Jersen currently manages all company operations, and oversees all company endeavors. He has invaluable knowledge of local market costs, labor production, equipment asset management, and all available talent.

Galen P. Pereau

Executive Vice President

Mr. Pereau is Jersen’s Lead Estimator has been with our firm for over 30 years. Galen oversees all company cost estimates, and is responsible for all hard bid estimates including subcontractor review and solicitation, de-scoping, unit pricing, lump sum, and value engineering.

Before joining the Jersen Construction team, Mr. Pereau worked on the construction of large nuclear facilities around the country. With experience in construction surveying, project management, and estimating, Mr. Pereau is knowledgeable in all aspects of building layout, highway layout, concrete and site work.

Christopher D. Lepkowski

Vice President

As Vice President, Chris assists in the oversight of operations, finance, human resources, project teams and more. Chris plays a key role in developing company goals, strategies for achieving those goals, and measuring progress across multiple departments to ensure company goals are being met.

Chris joined Jersen Construction Group as a Project Engineer Intern while attending the University of Hartford. He was then invited to join full-time after earning a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering Technology and has excelled in the company by paying close attention to detail, multi-tasking, managing complex projects, and continually challenging himself. Chris has a reputation of quality and trust, aligning himself deeply with the mission of Jersen Construction Group from the beginning.

Rob Cowin

Vice President

As Vice President, Rob assists in the oversight of Project Management, Subcontractor Relations, Shop and Facilities, Equipment, Safety and more. Rob plays a key role in maintaining daily field operations and work with management across multiple departments to ensure company goals are being met.

Rob joined Jersen Construction Group as a Project Engineer after graduating from Clarkson University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Technology Management. Rob has risen thru the ranks by being a disciplined, self-motivated project leader, consistently, and often times simultaneously, managing multiple complex projects. Rob is dependable, keeps his nose to the grindstone, and always puts in the extra effort to ensure the success of the team.

David A. Mineau

Senior Project Manager

Mr. Mineau has more than thirty years of extensive experience in all aspects of construction, including design, scheduling, estimating, layout, excavation, concrete foundations and slabs, as well as interior and exterior finishes. Mr. Mineau has a proven track record of teaming with architects, engineers, developers and owners to successfully complete numerous value engineered projects.

Mr. Mineau has managed billions of dollars of projects for Jersen and is a critical part of the overall management team.

 

Andrew Swedick

Andrew J. Swedick

Earthwork Manager

As the Manager of Jersen’s earthwork division, Mr. Swedick has over 30 years of hands on knowledge and experience with heavy infrastructure, bridges and building earthwork. He is responsible for all earthwork estimating, plan review, labor coordination, subcontracting, schedule requirements and construction activities, Mr. Swedick has strong leadership skills and is very resourceful on complicated projects. Working effectively with architects, engineers and developers in both the public and private sector work.
